I was a research assistant in Nanoscale Materials and Bioanalytical Chemistry Lab at Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. Supervised by Prof. Yit-Tsong Chen.
We focus on the synthesis of advanced materials and application of 2D-materials based field effect transistors. My main job was to help improving the processes in each sub-group and find new application based on the characteristic of materials.

I helped guiding master students in synthesis of MoS2 and SnS2 with CVD method. After synthesis, we characterised materials with Raman spectroscopy, AFM and TEM.
FETs fabrication

Typical structure of a FET

FETs control the flow of current by the application of a voltage to the gate, which in turn alters the conductivity between the drain and source electrodes. We measured the FETs output current in response of change in the environment which act as sensors.

Testing and application
Several applications were performed, such as light emitter, bio-sensor, and strain-sensor.
I build a bending tester to measure the devices response against bending motion and its durability.
A device was testing in response of magnetic field.
